Apple has published new Macbook, Macbook Pro and 24-inch Cinema Display

Wow, this is historical moment. Moment that lots of people were expecting! Some of the news were presented personally by Jonathan Ive, designer of the Apple products. Beside of changed design of laptops, there are huge improvements of hardware parts, so new laps have powerful Nvidia graphic chipset, new dvi mini port, removed firewire 400 and go ahead only with FW 800.

These new features on the MacBook, you can get today at $1299 (lower than the $1999 for the MacBook Pro). There are going to be two models. 13.3-inch LED backlit display, 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 3MB L2 Cache, 2GB 1066MHz DDR3 memory, 9400M GeForce, 160GB hard drive and SuperDrive.

Second model, $1599, adds 2.4GHz processor, 250GB hard drive and a backlit keyboard.

It’s going to come in two models. $1999, 15.4-inch LED backlit display. 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 3MB L2 Cache, 2GB 1066MHz DDR3 Memory, the two GeForces, 250GB hard drive and SuperDrive.

Second config is $2499. 2.53GHz, 6MB L2 Cache, 4GB memory, 512MB video memory and bigger hard drive.

The 24-inch display has 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, a Built-in iSight and mic, stereo speakers and a three port USB hub.

Changing the World

Last few years Apple is directing the development of software the same as hardware (remember Tiger's copy called Vista?, or sony laptops “inspired” by Apple notebooks), unfortunately, that is happening when you have great product that is working. And there are people like me, like you, who needs hardware and software that actually works without thousand of tweaks, hacks and geek knowledgment.

Already in the stores

US store is online, Méxican store is having some "Bad request" problems with server, hope that will arrange all soon and put it online.
