Promohotel goes blue

Promohotel is a international fare of food, drink and equipment for tourism. And with big tradition (started on year 1993 and with more than 20 fares).

Promohotel fare is located in the most appropriate town, Poreč, the tourism champion of Croatia

Design

Old design

It was a time for a refresh. Old site was from 2005. but design was like in year 1998. All jumping gifs, and rolling marquees were eliminated. Nonmatching colours, browser support was terrible, this is only a part of things from old site.

New design

One of the most important things is a change of site width, from 800px to 1024px. This is no so usual thing that we are doing, because there is no purpose for that if the client/his site, doesn't have information and content for it.

For my taste, the design is a little bit blue, but with the deadline that we had, it would be OK, for now. I'll try to fix it in the next update.

New stuff

Behind the old site was CMS, which was replaced with a new version. You can find more information about the CMS, on the website of CMS developers infoSIT ltd.

With new cms, news are more clear and organised. Now you can attach different files like .pdf and .doc. And a new version of gallery was implemented. This is very useful for users and authors/administrators.

The page was build with W3 standards , so it's viewable in all most common browsers like Firefox, Opera, Safari, IE7.

Fancy adds

For the reason that Win users doesn't have antialiasing by default, only if you are using Safari for Win, he is using almost the same antialiasing like that we have on Mac. We decided to use flash object, so now, the date is the same on all OS. And for Win users is fancy add.
