I'm a PC! Ok, I'm not, but Microsoft has new Ads!

Jerry Seinfeld is out of Ads! But Microsoft is out with new Ads. Thanks to ad agency Crispin, Porter + Bogusky M$ finally has an Ad that is more or less cool. Almost made me thinking I’m a PC LOL. They’re not original and smart like Apple Ads, but it’s nice to see that Microsoft is trying to explain that Windows users are also people, a normal people (mac users are from the Moon and they aren’t wearing glasses!).

This ads are definitely better realized then the not-so-old ones. So, check the other masterpiece made by Microsoft.

Western Digital My Book Pro Edition Sucks. But new player is in the house 2 Permalink Posted in: Apple Personal

Western Digital My Book Pro Edition Sucks. But new player is in the house

A year and a half, I purchased two WD My Book disks. They weren’t cheap, but neither very expensive. I used one of them for my media backup, photos and some old work. Besides the online backup I had some important data on it. And one day he just did a spin and stopped. Disk utility sad that is empty (??). And that’s all. I lost almost 400$ on Data Recovery to try get back at least some of the data (had luck, 98% as ok). I had some old backups on DVDs, but the last version was on the disk.

I thought if someone put in the name “Pro edition”, that he also mean that, but unfortunately Western Digital not. So I had two disks dead in the same time, one is used on XP like night backup, and the other one on my Mac, for day use. Sure, there is 3 years warranty; in three months you get your disk replaced (thanks to awesome tech support in Croatia). In the meantime you spend money on Data recover, and new disk (you need one for recovered data right?). So you have spent more than 300% than original price of this disk.

I was very doubtable on buying a Western Digital disk, because of their very bad reputation from several years ago. But I saw new My Book series, they look liked so cool with my macbook pro. Now I know why. I’m not the only one who had problems with the same collection of disks. There are several sites where you can find people complaining on this disk. I don’t know why I didn’t found that before after months of exploring.

New Ad from Microsoft, this is not the Ad! 2 Permalink Posted in: Video

New Ad from Microsoft, this is not the Ad!

They are definitely tried to make something different from Apple Ads. What they received are people with big question mark over their heads. Does they are showing that Windows users like bugs, low customer service? A big choice of lame applications? I don't know. Check it, and try to understand.

Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates in the first Microsoft TV Ad

Oh, when they said they are going to give an answer to Apple TV ads, many people were very skeptic about that. Could Microsoft make something original? Something funny? In my opinion, no. When I see Apple TV ads, not all but most of them are funny, totally truly, and at the end, you have the answer in front of you. But, let’s see the first Microsoft Ad called "Shoe Circus Commercial", and maybe you can understand the big message from them.

Jason Hawkes: London from above, at night

Boston.com has published 19 great photos of London. But photos aren't as you used to see. They are taken at night, and from helicopter. This is what the author says:

Shooting aerial photography during the daytime had its own difficulties, you are strapped tightly into a harness leaning out of the helicopter, shouting directions through the headsets to the pilot. If shooting in the day can be difficult, night and the lack of light causes its own set of problems...
